As some may or may not know. ID use IRC as its primary form of inner guild communication. Its where we idle when were away from our computers, where we rant when were at our computers. Its basically a guild channel for those who have never used it.

Met with the fact that not many here are very IRC savvy. Ive created a pre-setup MIRC folder thats ready to use once unzipped.

Directions: Download Here!, Unzip with Winrar Once opened the program will connect and open to the guild channel. Simple as that You are connnected!

Once you have gotten acquanted with everyone, you will realise your name is "YourName" and that you need to change your nickname. To do so, Go to File -> Options, click connect in the upper left of the new window and then fill in the NickName entrys appropriately.

Its recommended you put the MIRC folder in your Program Files Directory (e.g. C://Program Files/Mirc) and then use a shortcut dragged to your desktop.

You can minimise the program to Taskbar, when your busy. It will flash whenever there are messages in the channel.

You can also set MIRC to load and minimise to taskbar when you startup your PC. To do this, create a shortcut and place it in your Start -> Program Files -> Startup, folder. Then go to Options in MIRC, follow the menu down to Display -> Tray and finally tick the option labeled "On startup minimise MIRC to tray".

Hopefully, this should make the move to IRC easier for all.
